Entry: a few questions Monday, September 21, 2009

Hi there,
Do you plan to have your kids vaccinated with the regular flu shot and the HINI shot(s)? Do you, yourself, plan to be vaccinated?

What's the name of that furniture store a few of you love? I think you said it was going out of business. We're looking for a white dresser.

Eleanor's two bottom-front teeth are loose, and she said they hurt when she eats food and brushes the teeth. We saw her dentist just a few weeks ago, so I know it's not decay. Do loose teeth hurt?

Arlene is leaving us for sunnier climes. We should have a moms' night out soon! Arlene, please give us the scoop on dates and such.

Thanks for your time! xo C

olav's two bottom teeth are loose. he was complaining about it for a bit, but now they've been loose for a while, he doesn't complain any more. would like to go for a mom's night. thursday is really bad for me.

not sure about the shots for kids, most likely yes (I have tamiflu so I won't get vaccinated).

Riley has lost 3 on bottom and two on top and yes they can hurt going out and coming in. I'm not planning on vacinating older children for flu nor HINI, maybe do flu for Dalton only (with no mercury). Not for me either.
Don't know about furniture shop.
Yes to Arlene's farewell, diary is crazy mess, just throw out a few dates and see where bulk is, often Wed or Thurs good for me?

Flu shots: All of us always get the regular flu shot, so we (and Maggie) will get it this year. As for H1N1, we're going to do what our peditrician does for her kids, which I suspect will be to get it. I know it is a lot of shots, but I think the benefits outweigh the risks.

Furniture store: Zocalo (zocalo.org). The sale ended last week. I went on Wednesday, and there really wasn't much left. What they did have was all very dark wood.

Teeth: Joey lost his first one tonight! Actually, he pulled it out. There was some blood, but he said it didn't hurt when he pulled it. I called the dentist (love that we're friends and I have her cell #), and she said if he was able to pull it out, it was ready. When the two bottom teeth first started to wiggle Joey would sometimes complain of pain. Pretty quickly he seemed to either get used to the odd feeling, or he just got really careful about chewing and brushing. Another cause for the pain could be the permanent teeth. In February 2008, Joey was complaining that his two bottom teeth hurt. Dr. Annie did x-rays and we were able to see the new teeth were putting pressure on the baby teeth. He wasn't bothered by the pain after that, so I'm guessing it wasn't too bad. The new lower left tooth is already through the gum, so any pain he may have had recently could have been from that one coming it. I just noticed it the other day, but it did look pretty odd - like a shark with more than one row of teeth!

Arlene: This is news to me. I would love to have a get together. I work Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Most other nights are fine.

Grrr. Wrote a whole big comment and it disappeared. I am getting the boys both shots. Jacob has already had the regular one. E couldn't get it as he was sick at the time. We will get the other when they come available.

Jacob's front left tooth is wiiiiggly! I don't think it hurts him I just keep telling him to keep wiggling it. Don't know if that is good advice or no.

I am also interested in furniture--we are looking for a couple of pieces as well.

Would love a Mom's night out before Arlene leaves us! Thursdays are bad. Everything else is pretty good.
