Joey needs to get out - badly! So he and I (and maybe Maggie) will be heading to JP Murphy playground (1960 9th Ave - between Pacheco and Ortega) around 2:45. We'd love to see some friends.

Hi Everyone,

I thought I'd let you know about this place if you have not already been there. We've now gone there twice (once for a party and another time for drop in playtime). Lucas has loved it! The staff was great and the facilities were really nice. It is located right off of Cesar Chavez and the parking is plentiful. They have drop in times on Monday and Friday mornings and Wednesday afternoon. We went today and it was a very small crowd. I'm not sure how much this will pick up as word gets out about it. I'd highly recommend playing hooky from school on a Monday or Friday morning. Adults can go on the equipment too so it's a fun time with the kids.

Hiller Aviation Museum

Just putting in a plug for this place - we were struggling to find something to do on yet another rainy weekend. This is right off 101 near San Carlos. We all had a great time- it was really interactive and had things that were fun for both the 5 and 2-year old. It also was not that crowded at all, especially for a rainy weekend day. There were a lot of interactive exibits - air simulators, etc - that Shannon really enjoyed. It also gave an interesting history of aviation.
